Michigan Radio, in cooperation with Michigan Public Radio Network (MPRN),
launched the Arts and Humanities Radio Project in 1997. Since then,
hundreds of reports have been produced about the Arts and Humanities in
Michigan. Reports profile artists, performances and cultural
organizations; examine arts issues and trends in artistic thinking, in
music, dance, theater, poetry, visual and multi-media arts; and look at
religion, art history and criticism, social science, and history.
The project has garnered numerous national and state awards including the
Clarion Award given by the Association for Women in Communication.
