The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the Michigan Humanities Council and the Michigan Department of Education with the technical support of H-Net: Humanities & Social Sciences OnLine have constructed a gateway to interdisciplinary riches in the arts and the humanities. This site introduces teachers and curriculum specialists to an experimental curriculum building exercise which will utilize "icons" from the arts and cultural history.

Educators can choose from any of the icons to build a curriculum unit or submit a lesson plan. Information about the icon, the artist, and more resources are also availble at the icon's location in the site. As submissons increase, the database will be available to browse.
